Cache Logs

The entrance from
Fish Road was closed so I parked it and walked my way down. I had to fight the urge to bushwhack across the woods to get to the cache. There’s something in my wiring that lets me think that going off the trails is going to work. It never does. I did have to cut around at a fairly big water hazard along the trail, but I went right back to where I was going.

The cache is in excellent shape, and is well protected by an improvised moat that has formed around the hiding spot. It wasn’t too deep, though. It is maybe about half a foot in depth depending on where the approach is made.

Thanks for a great hike.

Tough terrain. Is the cache under water? We've had a lot of snow melting this week. We left this one behind to get home before sunset, though, we got your other Sweet Pea caches today. Thx.

Found this one while out for a walk in the area. We had to split our group as it wasnt possible for the stroller to get there as it was too wet. Black Bart bushwhacked his way in while we waited. We left an alien TB and took dice. TFTC

I got it without getting my feet wet. Lots of bushwacking, log walking, etc., etc. did it. Enjoyed the search with my dog Jessie. Nice area for hiking. TNLNSL.TFTC.

Coming from the nearby Who's line cache (GC11XBM), I came across a gated dirty road at N41 31.467 W71 48.292 that I thought was the way to get to this cache but I was still 1.3 miles from this cache. Anyway, I decided to ride my bike up there ! Wow! How much tougher I made this one! Terrain had suffered from the last heavy rain and is pretty flooded. I was really not aware of the Green Falls Campground easily accessed thru many other entrances !
---
Once I came at 90° off the cache, I bushwacked my way for the last 180 feet. I came upon a stream that I could eventually cross using a big fallen tree. But I was not yet done! After some unsuccessful searching near GZ, I saw a nearby highly possible hiding place but I needed again to make some kind of a bridge to get to this little island! There was the cache! I took a picture of the actually flooded meadow.

Great geocaching it is !

Cache is still in-place and in good shape. I'm surprised at the lack of interest in these 3 caches I have in this area. The pond that mentioned from my last visit in April has dried up, so access to this hide is easier now.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM CACHE OWNER...
Amazing how nature changes. When I planted this cache in October, I walked through a meadow to get to the ultimate hiding place for the cache (see my web site for photos). The area looked to me like it could be wet at times, but when I went there today to check on the cache I found that the meadow had actually become literally a pond. There were even ducks swimming in it !
The cache is still obtainable but it'll require a lot more work. You will have to go around a different way now, and you will encounter lots of swampy terrain and lots of bush.

We bushwhacked from the dirt road to the cache. Lots of water!! Actually had to wade out to the cache the last 15 feet. Made the grab. Cache is in good shape. Took the Switzerland TB and left the Peace of the Action Geocoin. TFTC. The Marchesseault Crew

Came from Sweet Pea 2 and The Falls. Some tough bushwacking through a swampy area but one of my scouts is a cache magnet and spotted it from 20 yards. Had lunch on the nearby high spot. Thanks.

I came to this cache via "The Falls" which amounted to about 7.5 miles for me and the 3 Stooges today. They give the experience 4 paws up because that is the position they are in now. Three happy dogs and a woodsy STF for me. I removed a questionable item from the cache and left a pair of dice and a "Team In Training" bracelet.
